This carburettor manifold flange is date stamped P 6 which is understood to be the date code for June 1958. The other fuel bowl is marked AUC2009 M and its fuel bowl lid AUC1160 and damper AUC8102, and this carburettor manifold flange is stamped P5 May 1958.  Both carburettors have AUC 2060 pistons and LB1 needles.   The suction chambers are marked with a Z on top adjacent to the damper tube. There are no carburettor connecting or back accelerator arm linkages, other than what is shown in the photos. The pistons move freely and with no detectable movement or wear in butterfly spindles. This set of carburettors is in good used condition. Given the date stamping of 1958 we think they are to suit a Jaguar MK 1 from where it is thought this set came from but this type of SU carburettor were also used on Austin Healey 100-6, Triumph amongst a number of others from that era. To Suit MG, Triumph, Austin, Volvo etc. This set of 6020 carburettors have a Z after the 6020 which signifies they are an early production (pre 1959), the flange on both carburettors are stamped either C1 January 1947 or G1 January 1951 , the letters on both are poorly stamped. They are also inscribed with 6031 and 6033 (front \u0026amp; rear carburettors) on the main body, they come complete with float bowls, floats, lids, float forks, needles and seats. The original float bowls rear: 3495 and front: 3496 have been replaced with 1208 and 1208D bowls, we have absolutely no idea why or it may be that that type of bowl was used with a different car and or model. The choke connecting rod is an item that is missing but the rest of the fully functioning choke mechanisms are in place. They are in reasonable condition and would deserve a service kit to freshen them up. It has\nits original air inlet plenum\/manifold, it comes with choke linkages and fuel\nbowl marked # 1216 mcl with float lid # 1218 \/1 the body has # 3229. The piston\nmoves freely as does the choke mechanism, 3229. The suction chambers are marked\nwith a Z on top adjacent to the damper tube, the pistons are marked AUC 3283,\nthe piston spring is coloured red on one end. They have RG Needles which\naccording to Burlens were fitted to Jaguar 6 cylinder XK's 8:1 Compression\nRatio with a 'C Type' Head, RG Needles were fitted as well to a number of other\nspec'd SU setups for various makes \u0026amp; models . It is also possible that the\n6040 AA with the hand scribed 4067 were\/could be fitted to an Austin Healey\n100M (Le Mans) as we understand they were fitted with this type of numbered SU\ncarburettor as well.  It is possible that\na set of Healey 100M SU 6040 AA were used to make up this set for a Jaguar XK\n120\/140 at some point, maybe when the earlier type Thermo enrichment device was\nadded or the existing carburettors were replaced with later carburettors - that\nis all speculation and guess work. Both carburettor bodies have N 12 stamped on\nthe flange which is the date code for December 1956, as there is no Needle Code\nstamped on the flange alongside the date code this is apparently representative\nof the time period when SU stopped stamping needle codes on the flanges and\nalso matches up to the AUC6040 AA which was the third and last of the three\nseries of 6040 carburettors. Given that they are fitted with an original Jaguar\nfuel feed pipe C3810, and manifold link pipe this would point to the likely\nhood that this set of SU's is from either an XK120 or XK140,  also included are banjos, over flow pipes and\nlinkages  as shown in the photos.  \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eThey have been in a box in dry storage and\nappear in very good used condition, the pistons rise and fall freely.
