The DKY4A distributor is fitted to the engine block using the TC micro adjuster or a T D external clamp and a spacer ring. The spacer thickness is 9/64 "( 3.55 mm approx.) and are used to achieve a 2.25" (57.15mm ) distance from the centre of the gear to the bottom of the clamping ring, as shown are various examples of the above. This spacer ring is Not for use with D2A4 distributors as fitted to late TD and TF MG cars.
