Lucas original used 6 cylinder distributor 22D 40887D, date Stamped 9 63 (September 1963).  In used condition,  spins freely, no movement in shaft, comes assembled with main drive shaft, working vacuum advance unit, action plate which moves well and marked as 11 degrees, points, condenser advance weights and springs, clips. We can find that the 22D 40887  was fitted to the Jaguar E Type 3.8 litre Series 1 from 1961 to 1964 and may have also been fitted to the Jaguar MK 10  3.8 Litre of the same era.
